Shootingball - The Journey The Spirit
I started my sports journey 9 years ago. I entered into this field because I had liking to sports. In english their is a saying that 'Apple keeps Doctor Away' in this manner I think sports also can keep doctor away. In my opinion sports makes person stronger and increase the level of concerntration. According to my experience all games is to make fun, make new friends and spending time with them. I played many games from childhood. Comparing to all games that I played shooting ball is one of my favourite game. When I reached in eight standard our school P.E teacher selected me in shooting ball team. Shooting ball is similar to Vollyball. In this game, 7 players are there in one team.
After practising for 3-4 months I played for school with another team. Just then next year I got selected for national level team. I and my teammates practised hard to win the nationals. The teammates includes students of other school from Goa. We went as whole Goan team.
I was very exited to take off to MP. Our train timing to assemble on Thivim railway station was at 8.00 pm but it arrived at 10.00pm. In the mean time, we had lots of fun and had yummy dinner which includes shellfish curry and fried rice. After dinner in about half an hour atlast our train arrived we rushed into the team and occupied our seats. In the journey I was very much excited. When we were about to reached MP the outside scene was very pleasing to me. There was Wheat plantation all over and because of sunshine the field was looking like gold field.
At last we reached Indore station and went on the room and got freshen up. There was too much cold in Indore. Next day, our match was there so we all got up early in the morning and went to warmup. Then after we went on ground to face the other team.
Whole day there was too much of cold that we can't even would take the ball on hand in that state only we defeat the Karnataka team. After playing with 4 teams we got 5th place in national. We stayed in Indore for atleast 2 days and after finishing match we pack up to return to Goa. We caught the train and in the journey we saw the Thumbs up mountain which is situated in Madhya Pradesh but I can't remember the exact place.
Finally we reached Goa. This was my memorable journey ever. I am very much thankful to my P.E teacher Mrs. Manisha Parab for giving me this opportunity to play for nationals.
